How do ear arches develop?

All earrings you find in my shop are handmade by me in my studio.

I make all small bead earrings from either brass or sterling silver wire. This means I don't use ready-made molds, but cut, hammer, and file all parts by hand.

This also means that each shape will have slight differences, and every texture I manually impress with a hammer will turn out a little differently.

You will receive a product that you won't find anywhere else.
How do I care for my earrings?

Over time, brass and silver develop a typical patina, which is completely normal and can be enhanced by contact with perfume, cream, and sweat.

You can always make your jewelry shine again, however. Your piece of jewelry does not have a thin applied gold layer; it is made entirely of brass or sterling silver, so you don't have to worry about rubbing anything off.

I like to use a simple metal polish if you want them to shine like new again.

To freshen it up, it's also enough to bathe your piece of jewelry for half a minute in lemon juice or vinegar. Afterwards, wash everything thoroughly with clear water and dish soap and dry it thoroughly. This way you will enjoy your piece of jewelry for a very long time.
How long does brass jewelry last?

Brass jewelry is made of raw brass – it has not been coated with other metals (e.g., gold or silver) and is not a "coating" or plating that can wear off.
If you don't have a sensitivity to base metals, brass jewelry is a great option that lasts as long as precious metals without breaking the bank. In general, moisture and/or oxygen cause metal to tarnish. I therefore recommend not storing jewelry in the bathroom and removing it before strenuous sporting activities, showering, applying moisturizer/hairspray, etc.

How heavy are the ear arches?
